any drs or nurses on

I was hit by a tractor trailer last week with my 2 kids in the car. Both are doing well. My 3 yr old went home right away and my 7 week old stayed 2 nights.

tomorrow I have a follow up with the trama drs and need a repeat chest x ray for a chest contusion. I was just reading my discharge papers and noticed I need to follow up with my dr for a "small pulmonary nodule" I though that was from the contusion, but I just googled it and it looks like it is something else.  I really wish I had read the discharge papers more closely but I was more concerned with my infant. I will ask tomorrow- I am 32 and have never smoke anything ever

Re: any drs or nurses on

  • the majority of them are benign (not cancer) ... maybe scar tissue from past infections,  your doctor may send you for a CT scan , maybe run more bloodwork or send you for a PET scan (maybe)... most likely they would follow it, recheck with another CT  or xray later , make sure it's not growing.  if not growing and you have no symptoms , it's most likely benign and  they do nothing.

  • Ditto what Halo said....it's likely just an incidental finding that would have gone unnoticed (and likely never caused any problems). But because it showed up, they are obligated to follow up on it.... I'm sure you are fine!
