after having your section did you start soaking in the tub again? im normally not a bath person, i enjoy showers..but lately all i want to do is take a bath and relax. its been 3 weeks, think its ok? i forget how long they told me to wait.

I assumed it was 6 weeks, that's how long I waited anyway.

I had been dying to go for a swim so I called my doc at 5 weeks and they gave me the ok as long as my scar was looking good and I promised to put sunscreen (even tho its below my bikini line) If you have any deep red/tender areas or think theres a possibility that its not fully healed I would wait the full 6 weeks.

I had my 2 week appt on Monday and the OB said give it one more week to take a bath.

So I've been cleared at 3 weeks.

Another reason for the 6 week appointment is to make sure your cervix is closed. You're not supposed to sit in a tub or pool until that's certain because of the risk of infection.

I called my OB's office and they gave me permission at 2 weeks PP.

I was told to wait 6 weeks. You don't want to take a bath before then because taking one could introduce bacteria in to the incision and wind up infected. I would wait just a few more weeks!
