On top of her dresser I put one of those contour changing pads, and next to it I bought a little brown wicker basket from Michaels, that says "Baby Things" on it, and I store her wipes and diapers in that.....
We bought a dresser and designated the top drawer for wipes, diapers, etc... I even put a little basket in it that holds powders, creams, ointments, and all the stuff I needed to take care of his circumcision.
I have a changing table, because our dresser is too high to change diapers on for me anyway, for Timm it is a perfect height. Anyway, the changing table has too much space. So I totally think a dresser would be better. But we bought ours off Craigslist for $40 and I plan on selling it for $40 when we are done with it.
I had an old piece of furniture (I think it's called a wash table) refinished and I put a changing pad on that. It has a few drawers and a little cabinet area that I store her stuff in. At first I also used the little diaper stacker thing that came with her bedding set. I hung this on the side of her crib.
We have a changing pad on top of the dresser and I keep diapers & wipes in the top drawer.
This exactly. There was still enough room on top of the dresser for a wipes warmer and a basket for lotion, rash cream, etc. Pay attention to how tall the dresser is, at first we were looking at one that was about as high as our kitchen table but I decided it was too short. We ended up with one that is 36" tall, about the height of a kitchen counter and I think it is perfect.

I keep all my goods for her on top of the dresser as well. I just have a basket that fits a wipes tub & there's plenty of room for lotion & diaper rash cream.....that's really all I have in there.
Our house has 4 levels so I knew using a changing table wouldn't work. I have a little basket with cream, diapers, wipes, (and I use cloth diapers as changing pads as well as for burp clothes), and various other stuff. I just carry that with me in whatever level we're in. Even when I nannyed I always ended up changing kids on the floor so that has never bothered me.
I keep his supplies in his organizer in his closet so I just refill the basket as needed.
We had one with drawers and shelves orginally, but stopped using it after about 7months because Lil Miss just moved way too much for it to be safe.
When we got the new crib, I "replaced" the drawers with two wicker baskets, also from Michaels. Everyone loves this idea becasue the basket can now travel all around the house for diaper changes. It hold one slim wipes container, desitin, 11 diapers, and a large fold up changing pad. The other basket hold lotion and combs and all that.
