So...she managed to take off her diaper at some point while she was sleeping last night and peed the bed. THEN, I put a fresh diaper on her this morning and she got that one off and pooped a turd on the carpet.
I really never thought that with 2 other dogs in the house that I'd be cleaning up my KIDS poop off the floor! Did I mention that we're going to have to get locks for the toilets because Soph is obsessed with them and loves playing in them? What can I say? The kid loves the water.
Ohhhh parenthood ![]()

Uh oh! I just hope she doesn't do what one of my family members did......yes, took off a poopy diaper & enjoyed finger painting the crib, the walls, self, etc.
Is it too early to start potty training her since she is obsessed w/ the toilet water?! And the fact that she likes to take her diaper off?!
hahahahahaha!!! The turd on the floor got me!!!!
And this is why we've started elimination communication, lol.

This! Alexa's been going pee pee on the potty every mornng since 11 months
I figure the exposure can't hurt for later on.

It's never even crossed my mind to try this!
Did you go get her a special toddler potty? I agree, it definitely wouldn't hurt to expose her to it

I didn't realize that you had 2 dogs and a kid - - how has that been? We are worried our dogs are going to really act out once the baby is here.
Sorry to hear about her new talent - hopefully that means she is ready for the potty!
We've got 2 dogs as well & haven't had any problems. I was worried about the one dog possibly having jealousy issues, but heck, she's afraid of the baby, LOL.
I'm SO not looking forward to that stage! Hopefully she gets over it quickly!
We have 2 dogs and they've been great. If you post on the pets board there is a girl there (pixystix I think) with a list of things to do to prepare your dogs for a baby.
She went to bed in a onesie and some cotton pants - no idea how she got them off! She was walking around in just a diaper the morning she pooped on the floor though
I had literally just changed her and was getting breakfast fixed. Learned my lesson!
I know it's frustrating for you Ash, but....
Honestly, Soph is the funniest kid ever.

OMG. Ashley. That is tragic. I am sorry.
BTW - I also have two dogs - 3 yr old black labs. They love K. I can tell them "Watch the baby" and leave the room (I know, bad me) and when I come back they will still be sitting (and guarding) next to K waiting for me to get back. The only thing I did to prepare them for K's arrival was to show them that there is no wrestling in her room. If they are in there, it is laydown time. They don't really go in there because they don't want to be calm. But they will sleep next to her crib if they hear the raccoons and skunks outside at night.
