Ridiculous (rude?) conversation today

So I was at my new dentist's office today, and the hygenist decided to make small talk with me for a few minutes when the doctor stepped out of the room. She was trying to be nice, I'll give that to her. However...well, here's what happened:
Her: So, what dentist's office did you go to before this one?
Me: (description of last office)
Her: Oh, I heard it's like a factory there. Glad I didn't accept the job offer they gave me!
Me: Yeah, definitely.
Her: So, are you married?
Me: Yes, actually, tomorrow is our 3 year anniversary.
Her: Oh, so you're newlyweds! 
Me: Yes 
Her: Do you have any children?
Me: ::pause::....no.
Her: Oh (wrinkled nose face). You don't like kids, huh??
Me: No that's not it.
Her: Oh so why not then?
Me: ::pause:: Well, when I can carry a pregnancy full term, we will.
Her: ::blank stare::
Me: I had a miscarriage a few weeks ago.
Her: Ohhh... Well, why?
Me: Why what?
Her: Why did you have a miscarriage?
Me: ::dumbfounded::
Her: Well sometimes they just don't know why, do they know why?
Me: No, I guess it just happened. ::silence::
Then the doctor came back in. Like...really, woman??? REALLY????

On a side note, I'm beginning to think I should not be allowed in public. I can no longer promise I won't flip the fvck out on people like this.
