Help! Supply issues

I started a new part time job about 2 weeks ago. I had been keeping up with DS's demand through pumping. All of the sudden my supply has dropped. I pump at work and only get one bottle worth while I would normally get 2. I get nothing at night or in the morning. I have been trying to pump as much as I can. I feel like he isn't getting enough when I nurse either. I tried giving him formula several times but he won't take it. He might not have a choice tomorrow seeing as I only have one bottle left. Suggestions? I gave him enfamil and have tried similac, fyi.

  • Are you drinking enough water? You can try fenugreek and mother's tea. I had good luck with fenugreek. Also, oatmeal is supposed to help with your supply.

Try not to stress too much it will make it worse. When my supply was really low drinking more water and pumping a lot seemed to work the best for me.

  • Make yourself some yummy lactation cookies! drink lots of water and just keep pumping/nursing.. GL
  • I'm eating enough but could probably stand to drink more water. Its just frustrating b/c I have never had an issue before. Hopefully it comes back!

I have had major supply issues.  I talked to my Lactation Consultant yesterday about it.  I have been taking Fenugreek, but not enough - she said to take 3 pills, 3 times a day.  Also drinking Mother's Milk Tea and am pumping.  Pump, Pump, and Pump again.  My LO eats 4 times a day every four hours except when she goes down for the night and sleeps 10 hours.  I am getting up in the night and making sure that I get stimulation every 4 hours.  I am hoping that helps!

Are you trying to give straight formula?  We had to mix BM and formula at first b/c she would not take straight formula since it is more bland.
