Earplugs?

Has anyone used earplugs with their LO? We are going to a concert on Friday night and it's not an option to leave DS with someone, so he's coming with. We'll stay as far back from the stage as possible, but we will still need to protect his ears.

I've been to plenty of concerts at Red Rocks and have seen people with infants. I'm thinking of using the Mack silicone earplugs, maybe the smaller ones for kids or even just cutting the adult ones in half. They don't go inside the ear canal.
