I'm IN LOVE!

I had an appointment at a Maternal Fetal Specialist because of my fibroids yesterday and didn't really think much of the appointment, so I went by myself because my boyfriends project at work is in high gear for launch. The appointment started out very normal--talking about my symptoms, history and the potential dangers of having fibroids while pregnant. I was told they'd monitor for the remainder of my pregnancy and I was okay with that---it would give us a piece of mind.

Now comes the ultrasound. My fibroids are in fact growing but are away from the baby and then.............

The woman says "LOOK AT YOUR LITTLE GIRL JUST A MOVING AROUND IN THERE WAVING HER ARMS AND LEGS!!!! I almost fell off the table because I sat up to look at the screen closer! And sure enough the baby was moving around. While I abruptly stood up I said "SHUT THE HELL UP! ARE YOU SERIOUS??"

Before that very moment I had NO idea what the sex of the baby was and hadn't had an ultrasound since my 8 week appointment. So I was not only overwhelmed with pure joy and excitement BUT also guilt because I told my boyfriend to not worry about the appointment and here I am seeing our precious little girl moving around!

Soooo I went to party city and got an "Its a girl" sign for the front door and a balloon to surprise him. Yesterday might have very well been one of the most exciting, proudest and emotional moments I have ever had! I'm 17 weeks pregnant and am IN LOVE with this little girl. The love I have for her father is something that I can't describe and thought that it couldn't be surpassed, but this lil lady has stolen my heart already :-)
