Infertility

***roselln2***

Hi-

I saw below that you are a Bikram Yogi too!  Did you practice on lupron, prior to stimming?  My dr said I had no exercise restrictions on lupron, but I'm not sure how i feel.

Also the Bikram community can be a little hardcore, and keep saying its OK to practice preg...since I have practiced for 4 yrs.  Just wondering a fellow IF-ers thoughts on this.

Thanks!!!

Re: ***roselln2***

  • I didn't do Lupron because I was on the antagonist protocol. My doctor said no bikram once I started stims so I started stims on a Saturday night and squeezed in one more bikram class earlier that day on Saturday morning. Aren't I a rebel? Ha ha.

There was a woman in my class who was 9 months pregnant (literally... She was covered in the yoga studio's newsletter, and that's what they said), and I would give her the total side-eye during class thinking that she was nuts for risking her baby. Then I thought about it and decided that she was likely doing it with the okay of her doctor. If you saw her, you'd see she was obviously in good health and had what appeared to be a healthy pregnancy. I may consider going to bikram classes during my pregnancy, but that will only be will the blessing and under the supervision of my doctor.

  • I have felt the same way too!  Dirty looks to the preggos LOL.

Then I asked my Dr (OB, when i thought we could conceive naturally), and she seemed ok with it.  She preferred after the 1st trimester, and only bc I have already been practicing.

    GOOD LUCK to you!!!
