Babies: 0 - 3 Months

dont hate me...

OK so I feel silly for posting this... but I guess I will anyways.

I'm curious if any of you have LO's who dont cry much?

My dd hardly ever cries... not even in the AM when she wakes up (I would imagine super hungry from STTN) She doesn't cry she just starts jabbering to the ceiling fan. She cries when she is way overtired and stuff... but yeah I expected that when you have a baby... they cry a lot. And mine doesnt. NOT COMPLAINING.... just wondering if any of you have noticed this also?

Re: dont hate me...

  • The only time DS ever cries is when he has bad gas, which I finally found a product that helps him. So now he never cries. :) I consider myself pretty lucky.

  • The only time DD cries is when she's hungry. She used to cry when she had bad gas, but we use Mylicon drops so she's stopped that!

  • Yes, I was wondering the same thing. Everyone remarked how quiet he was. I'm not complaining either, this is our first baby and he is very good!
  • DD doesn't cry much at all. If she's hungry she'll whine but hardly ever all out cry. We're blessed with good babies! DD STTN also and has since we got home from the hospital.

  • We are blessed with an easy going baby too.  He only cries when he is hungry or has bad gas.
  • my DD will get fussy when hungry or tired but not really cry.  The only time she really cried was after her 2 month shots.

  • This is exactly my DD. I keep waiting for the time she finally decides to really let us have it. But it seems so far to almost just be a part of her personality. It does make me scared for a second baby though, I figure we can't be this lucky twice :)
  • DD never cries either. Even in the middle of the night she'll just squeak and grunt until I get her...same in the morning! She'll fuss if she's really tired, but for the most part she's a really content baby!!

  • DD only really hard-core cries in the car seat because obviously, she's not getting what she wants (to be taken out).

Things used to be a lot worse... she would cry most of the day.. in fact she was even diagnosed as having colic.  That is, until I got better at caring for her. I didn't know she was sleep-deprived.  Now that she sleeps better, she is a very happy baby! :)

  • I'm glad you posted this b/c I feel the same way!  Everyone is always telling me, oh just wait!  But so far, so good.  I mean she has her bouts w/ gas and some fussiness but overall she is very content.  Hope this continues for us!

  • DS fusses when he is bored, but only cries when he either has gas, is hungry, or tired.

I have read somewhere that typically babies won't cry if all their needs are being met. Although, I don't know how much truth there is to that because there are babies who have colic, and also babies who just NEED to cry.

  • Our LO cries only if she feels a really wet diaper or she's extremely hunger. Other then that she's all smiles and chatter.

This. Everyone keeps saying how good he is.  They just haven't seen him in the car yet.  I feel pretty lucky though.  DS cries only long enough to let you know he needs something.  He does have fussy days and gets overtired sometimes, but overall, he's a pretty easy going baby.
