Is anyone else scared to....

exercise?  or have sex?  or take a bath or hot shower? use cleaning products?

I know I'm being ridiculous but I'm feeling so nervous about losing this baby that I am avoiding all of the above.....help!

Re: Is anyone else scared to....

  • I have def had a fear of all those things recently.

For exercise I am sticking to walking, even though I worked out pretty intensely prior to getting pregnant - I told DH I would like to refrain from sex until we talk to the OB - and I had to use cleaning products today to clean my classroom, I had my shirt collar over my mouth and nose the entire time lol

I think it's perfectly natural to feel this way - I'm hoping to feel more relaxed once I talk to my OB and get some guidelines.

  • I have been too! My problem is that I look up things on the internet and hear horror stories! We havent had sex since we found out because DH saw a story where a girl had spotting after and he is like NOPE! I am very nervous too so I completely understand! I did take a warm bath the other day and it was VERY nice! Try not to be nervous and ill try too :)! Heres to a very hopefully happy and healthy pregnancy!
  • I am scared to do everything!! I am trying to walk, no sex, and I have been turning down my showers.

  • I take burning hot showers usually, so I've been taking warm showers. Plus, I am a nurse so I brought home some masks from work and wore it while cleaning, hahah!! I am so freaking paranoid...
  • We had sex immediately following the positive test.  He said "to make it stick", lol!

  • This was the most perfect post cause i was just about to post the same thing. We have had sex a couple times but nothing to crazy.haha. But today i asked my doctor about it and she said that it is better that i wait till i am further along. I have not yet shared the news with my hubbyBig Smile. I'm sure that is going to go over awesome, but of course he is extremely supportive. We also are big walkers and i want to continue to do that, just not as often. And cleaning i just can't help myself i have to clean.
  • i'm totally scared of sex. we've only had sex once since my ovulation days. and that was like 2 nights ago.

We did too, but haven't since (we've both been really sick)..but I am kind of afraid to have sex so early on when we both start feeling better..This is my first time around for pretty much everything pregnancy, so I don't know what the limitations are..I've been working out at the gym 5 days a week since March (part of my pre-ttc plan), but again, since I've been sick, I haven't been to the gym..That is one thing that I think I will continue doing, once I'm feeling better..I heard it's ok to exercise during pregnancy as long as you were doing it pre-pregnancy..I also heard it helps with labor/delivery, and getting your pre-pregnancy body back faster :)

  • We've had sex, multiple times, but everything else, I am scared about. I've also been avoiding hot baths, cleaning with harsh chemicals, heavy lifting, exercise.. lol

My doctor said that NO MAN's penis can ever affect a pregnancy... they'll never get into a uterus.
