Sour Patch kids are the most amazing thing ever, right now. He told me this at my apt yesterday and of course it's all I could think about until I ran out at lunch to get some. They are perfectly sweet and salty.
I will eat a whole bag of those to myself when I am NOT pg : / I have a major sweet tooth and have passed that on to DD. I really want some sour patch kids now though...
That's the worst part of all..I have a serious sweet tooth, which I have been diligent about fighting for the past few months and just like that I'm back on the wagon.

Yeah, its hard to fight the urge, but keep it in moderation. I got GD with my first pregnancy, and I can only blame that on myself : / My OB was completely baffled since I am not an older woman ( I was 20 when pg with DD) and I am not overweight..both of which are usually factors for people with gestational diabetes. It was my sheer lack of self control and having a smoothie everyday lol.
I was a little surprised too, but he said the main goal is to make through the first trimester as best possible (moderation of course). It sounds like he'll be much more strict about sugar and carbs in a couple of weeks.
I love the watermelons ones as well. Sometimes they are a little hard to find but luckily walmart has been keeping them in stock. I do not have them very often but when I want them, I want them now.
Re: My Dr. was so right...(craving)

Am I the only one that thinks its a little weird for your doc to recommend candy?
I mean, don't get me wrong, I love a little candy now and then but it just seems odd that a health professional would suggest them...
