Fisher-Price Perfect Play Date powered by House Party?

I know there are 27 People (other then me) in MN hosting this party & I was wondering if any girls from here are?

What are your ideas? My thought is to start with the party inside then after a little bit some of the little ones can go outside & play with our F.P. toys outside (playground & water toys)

  • I am... but you knew that. Do you know what toys we are getting? I haven't seen a list yet.

  • It's a really cool party thru HouseParty.com

  • Jealous!  That looked like a fun one to host.

  • I am hosting also.  I am excited and a little nervous.  This is my first kid and since I am a working mom I haven't done any play dates.  We have friends with kids, we just have never been available for mom/kid get togethers.  My son is only 6.5 months old so he isn't really into social interaction with kids a whole lot--so we'll see.  So any tips on preparing for having 10 small childen over at once?

  • sweet another MN hoster :)

I would just say relax & make sure to put all the knifes away :P what ages are you having? We will be having the party inside with all the fun toys but we will has so have outside set up with the play area & water toys (if it's warm) it just works out that MOST our toys are Fisher Price so I am planning on putting way all the 'non' Fisher Price toys.

have you gotten your boxes yet? when I hosted the Gerber party I had gotten a email with a tracking number this time around I have not gotten a thing letting me know they are on there way.  I know we still have a week but I can't wait

  • I think my party will be mostly young babies or toddlers.  At least I hope so since I don't really know what to do with older toddlers and kids at this point.  It looks like we should get our packages on the 9th.  At least when you go to UPS and track house party by reference that is what it shows.

We are planning on being inside.  We will see what the weather is like.  I think my husband is more nervous about having all these small kids over than I am.  :)

  • LOL just tell your husband it's like a "test run" so you know what your LO will be like in a few months :)

As far as "what to do with the older ones" just have the toys out & let them play. Aiden is really good at making anything into play.

  • We just got our BIG box today & wow do these toys rock. I am going to open 1 new toy at a time so that I can learn how each to works. Today was the Laugh & Learn? Learning Kitchen?

The UPS came well Aiden was napping (way to go ups) so I was able to open up this toy with no little hands in my way :) Once Aiden woke up & came in to the living room he v-lined it for the new toy as if someone had told him "Mr.A there is a new toy put away next to your chair" I wish I would have had the video cam as it was really funny.

  • Yeah--I was eagerly awaiting my big boxes and they came yesterday and today.  I am a little sad that I am getting more declined than accepted for my party.  In fact, I only have one person coming right now with her two kids.  My baby is 6.5 months old so he is on the younger side for the toys but certainly loved looking at the colorful boxes and hitting the faucet on the kitchen to get the music to play.
