Wow, how incompetent (nttgpr)

So a while back I had posted on here about how pissed off I was that the dealership we bought our car from made a mistake and expected us to pay $400 to them. Well... we sorted that out, it was their fault, and we don't owe them anything.

Well... the other day I get a letter in the mail from the driver's ministry saying that the VIN # of our car doesn't match up with the VIN # that our insurer has!!!

So we've been driving the car for 5 MONTHS without correct insurance because THE DEALERSHIP PUT THE WRONG VIN # ON THE BILL OF SALE!!!!!

Wow.... just freakin' wow. I want their finance guy FIRED and I will be writing an angry letter to his manager, this is ridiculous!

    This VIN mixup has happened to me....except I got pulled over because the license plate matched a different color car...it was a huge debacle.  The idiot at the dealership put my VIN with someone else's license plate and vice versa.  It was awesome....I got a ticket and I forced the dealership to pay it I was so pissed!  They ended up paying and after fighting with them I got a bunch of my services (oil change etc) for free

    I would contact the dealership,but I would send the actual letter to their coporate office and to the BBB. The dealership won't do squat probably unless it comes from corporate.

    Yes, that's a good idea too. I forgot about the BBB, they love stuff like this.
