You ladies have a ton of information - thanks in advance for everything.
So I just found out I was preggo yesterday and I was really crampy the last week or so, but everyone says that is normal. The only other sign that I had was that I was extremely hot - I kept bumping the temperature down in the house and I was still sweating. I also go to the bathroom a lot.
But I do not have any other signs like sickness, boobs hurting, cravings, etc. Does that come in time? Is it that I am so early on I do not have that yet? Also - how long does the cramping last?
Re: New Pregnancy Questions
wait til about week 6 thats when i started getting m/s and even later for cravings cause once the m/s sets in eating is only what you can get down. Some don't get sick though.....we are all different.
First, Congratulations!
Everyone is right, each pregnancy is different, but that being said cramping now is pretty normal. Could be from implantation, your uterus shifting, etc. I had some odd cramping around 4-5 weeks and wasn't sure if I was pregnant or expecting AF to arrive.
I only had one day early on of peeing every 30 minutes, and at that point I didn't even know I was pregnant. I did notice I was thirsty all day and going to the bathroom a lot, but I didn't assume anything from it.
And I'm always cold, which has only gotten worse since I got pregnant - maybe you're the opposite! The other things may or may not show up for you, don't worry if they don't you might just be one of the lucky ones that feels great!
Everyone is different.
My 4th week...I was so hungry all the time and I could seriously eat as if I was about to play some pro ball. I was tired but still had enough energy to do speed runs.
6th week is when I wanted to just die. I was nauseous all the time and I had and still have a stupid virus. I am still fatigued, but it wasn't as bad as it was during weeks 5 and beginning of 6.
I don't have extreme hunger anymore and If i tried to eat like i did in week 4, I would get really nauseous.
I'm really late to the party but...
Call your gyn to schedule your first appointment and go over any medications you take on a regular basis. You might have to stop or switch meds while you're pregnant. Ask them what OTC meds you can take for headaches, heartburn, nausea, fever, cold/flu, etc. You're going to need this information as your symptoms start setting in and fall starts approaching. Also ask them about your diet... there are foods you shouldn't eat/drink when pregnant. Since this was unplanned, they might have you come in to speak with a nurse and get your information packets sooner than the typical 8 week appointment.
Ask them for a recommendation for a prenatal vitamin and start taking them asap. You'll need the vitamins for your own health and that of your baby. They'll likely just tell you that any OTC prenatal is fine (Target, WalMart, drug store brand etc), but it's best to check with your doc.
