Exactly why I am having an IUD put in as soon as possible . . .this second baby was a surprise (luckily a fairly well timed surprise). I was on the mini-pill and still nursing - what a shocker! I cannot imagine that surprise in the 0-3 month time frame. UGH!

I am on the mini-pill and nursing. If I may ask, were you taking the pill at the same time every day? Were you getting your period? How did you know to test?
Can you tell I am freaking out at the idea of this?
Hahaha...I would NOT want to do it. My brother and I are 15 months apart, and I don't know how my mum did it. LOL
I'm getting Mirena put in asap after Lentil's born. I don't want to second-guess myself again should the pill fail again. That said, though, I'll probably have it taken out after a year or two depending on our financial situation.
! Something I don't think I could handle, but that is awesome that she is so positive! Good for her! My mother asked me last week when we're having our next one. I told her I wasn't sure. She said I should right away (my brother and I are 16 months apart.) I told her I wasn't planning on anything THAT close and she got offended. (She's BSC anyway, but still...I'm allowed to not want that, right?)
If this happens to me I will have my vagina surgically closed because DH and I can't possibly be trusted with birth control.
Unable to even.

My induction date is the day after ds first birthday. It could have been the day before but we decided on the day after. It was hard being pregnant with such a young infant and is very tiring now but you just do it. I'm really happy with the age difference and I'm so excited for ds to have a buddy so close.

We'll be 2U1 tomorrow. LO#1 was born 9/22/09. I have a c-section scheduled for this baby tomorrow (9/1/10). Yes our BFP was a total surprise, shock, etc. I cried for weeks when I found out. I had just started feeling normal again after delivering #1 and was really upset. And we had even been talking about only having one. But in the end I've come to terms with it. I would have felt guilty for denying our little guy a sibling. I'm on the older side (37) so our window for the second one was going to close pretty quickly.
It hasn't been easy to say the least, but sometimes I wonder if I would have made it through with him older and more active (like a 2 or 3 year old). My first tri he wasn't crawling yet and he's still not quite walking yet (hopefully any day now since I can't carry him for a couple weeks)
It took us over a year to get pregnant with #1. So watch out. I think the second time around your body knows what to do.
Re: Wow--2U1.

eta: i know how she did it, obviously.

I have the same fear! Some of my girlfriends were joking at my shower on Saturday how DH and I should use all forms of birth control possible.
When I saw the post tittle, I thought you were talking about you! Yikes!
I have a friend who had a baby in October of last year and is due again in September. I couldn't imagine.

OMG, bite your tongue!
I can't imagine having a newborn and being pregnant again. You're already so tired with the baby..uhhh.. and no caffeine, oh my! That sounds so hard.
i'm having 2 within 14 months.
that's close enough for me. oy.

Your DD is the cutest. I'm sure I have mentioned this but if they keep coming out like that, well keep 'em coming! hahahaha
I was thinking the same thing...if my kids are that cute, I don't know if I could stop havin' em.
