This morning I had a bit of bleeding. It has me anxious. It could be good - it's light and if my cycles started up right away post bcp, this would be cd21 (but not charting, don't even know if this is true). However, I'm also worried b/c I was getting break through bleeding on the pill the past few months - which is one reason I got off (that and wanting to TTC anyway). I decided I could then see if the bleeding was due to the pill, or something else. It's unlikely to be from sex, b/c it's been a couple of days and it is bright red.

So - I guess I should make a dr. appt. here soon. I'll give it some time to first see if it's the start of my period, it's implantation, or something else. Please not something else!!

I know is hard not to, but don't get anxious...you will find out what it is soon and who knows...it might be good news.

yeah, it is hard not to be anxious. Maybe I should get to work and stay away from the boards for awhile to get my mind off of it

I randomly started bleeding after we started TTC. it was actually what started the ball rolling on getting my fertility tests done. (Not that I think your bleeding is anything related to infertility.)

It could be a minor cyst. It could still be irritation from sex. It could be breakthrough bleeding. It could be implantation bleeding (although that is very rare.) It could be a million things that aren't serious.

Likely nothing to worry about, but definitely make a dr. appt, just to be sure.

Becky, do you remember if your cycles were short before BCP?

It took me about 5 mths to start getting regular cycles after I stopped BCP, so it could be AF, or 100 other things.

Here's my advice

1) everybody's right, give your Doc a call. Just make sure everything's alright

2) start tracking your cycles - I use Fertility Friend, and I check temps, and watch my cycle that way - it makes things quite a bit easier because this way you get better indications on what's going on (and they guide you through it as well)

I might start charting, but I have my reasons not to for now. My cat generally wakes me up at least twice in the early morning, often comes to sleep on me about 10 minutes before my alarm goes off, and I know waking up and going back to sleep can affect the temps.

Got the same cat problem

I've started putting a separate alarm clock next to my thrmometer.

I have it go off about 1/2 hour earlier the the cat.

I temp, and go back to sleep - till kitty goes off Big Smile

Gotta love cats! Ours has also been walking into our room sometime in the middle of the night with her toy mouse. She meows at us and when we don't get up to play she hops into bed. I hope she stops doing this soon!!

The bleeding seems to have stopped (I think), and it was just barely enough to be noticeable on a panty liner after I initially noticed it this morning. It might be the beginning of my period b/c I do seem to have period symptoms and I suppose it could come this early since things are weird right now after bcp (I took the last active pill 3 weeks and 3 days ago). I'll give it a few days before calling the dr. since I won't be able to see her if it's my period.

update (but not interesting enough to warrant a new post!):

The bleeding was really more like spotting - had a little bit Tue. morning and again yesterday morning. Seems to be gone now. I'm not so worried b/c it is nothing like the breakthrough bleeding I experienced on the pill that was heavier and lasted longer - so I can still probably conclude that at least that bleeding was a pill side effect. And b/c this was so light and the first cycle, I will wait until next month to worry about it. I
