Hello! My name is Ty. I used to be a knot addict back when I was planning my first wedding. Long story short, my first marriage got annulled, and I remarried my long lost love a year later. We know have 2 kids, SS 9, and BD 11 months. Although sometimes it can be a challenge, I wouldn't trade my life for anything in the world. I realized that as SAHM I've been feeling pretty lonely, and have been trying to reach out for support. And so I'm here. I'm 28 and along with my Mommy duties, I'm also a writer...or trying to be. I'm editing my first novel which I'm hoping will be at a place where I'm not afraid to give it to someone else to read (like an editor lol).
So here's my question. I make BD's food. Up until now I've relied mostly on my Ped's advice on how to introduce and how much to feed baby. But now that we're not going for monthly appointments I feel like I'm not doing the best I could be doing. Do any of you have any good book or website recs where I can find info on when to add new foods and textures to baby's diet?
Thanks!
Re: New here plus question
At her age, you can pretty much feed anything that isn't a choking hazard. No nuts, popcorn, whole grapes, hot dogs not cut into tiny pieces, hard candies, etc.
Babycenter has a good chart: https://www.babycenter.com/0_age-by-age-guide-to-feeding-your-toddler_1736045.bc
This for us, too, minus known choking hazards.
Oooh! Thanks for the site!
Thank You!!! I knew I needed to give her more textures! One question though, if I'm not allowed to give her cows milk yet, how to I give her mac and cheese?
I've never made "real" mac and cheese, so I guess I could start that way, but don't you still need some milk?
