book suggestion needed

I haven't read a just-for-me book since "Eat,Pray,Love" and "Water For Elephants."  I am tired of reading Parenting magazine before bed--I need some book recs!

    The Help...it's a great book!  We read it for book club a couple of months ago and everyone loved it!

    Have you read "The Help"?  It's fantastic.  That's the one I keep recommending over and over.

    I'm not much help - I've had "Girl with the Dragon Tattoo" on my nightstand for about 4 months and have yet to open it.  :)

    I'd also suggest "The Help."  I've also heard good things about "The Gift of an Ordinary Day" so I'll have to check that one out!

    Get the Sookie Stackhouse novels. All of them. Flipping fabulous. I read them, watched True Blood, got confused because I thought the books were better than that, re-read them, and have decided the books are infinitely better. Great escapism reading, and easy to put down and pick back up later :)

    I'm reading this right now, but already read the second one on accident.  I really loved it, but it is long.

    I'm also reading twilight and will start reading the new Jennifer Weiner book for book club.

    I should state that I download or borrow audiobooks and listen to them in the car.  It gives me something to look forward to at the end of the day before I get home and so far, Jake doesn't protest.
