There are so many knowledgeable people here, I had a question.
Hi
by the way!
I had a miscarriage back on June 15 at 6w5d. I had a period almost right on time after that, it was pretty heavy. Now, I am 9 days overdue for my period. I am not pregnant. Is this typical? Ever since going off birth control in November 2009, I have had very regular periods, so it seems unusual to me that they would start going haywire now.
I admit, I'm worried that my cycle will now turn irregular and I will have a harder time TTC. It was actually very easy to get pregnant the first time around. I really hope this regulates itself.
Any similar experiences you can share would be greatly appreciated!
Re: Question - Miscarriage, one AF, then late?
Yep. The general rule of thumb is that the cycles take about three months (sometims more, sometimes less) to go back to "regular" again.
Are you charting? Do you know what day you Oed? Is is that your time before O has lengthen, or is it your LP that has lengthened?
If you aren't charting, I would suggest it, as it provides great clues about the body and will allow you to identify WHY your cycle is longer this month.

I haven't been charting probably to the extent you speak of, but I did use the OV Watch last month.
My last period started on July 21. On Aug. 1, my watch indicated "Fertile Day 1" and indicated ovulation day 1 on the 5th. If accurate, I would have ovulated on the 5th. That would make my time before OV at 14 days. That would make my luteal phase still going at 26 days. It's not unusual, because your body has just gone through a miscarriage. It may take a while to go back to 'your normal'. And it may or may not. Everyone's body reacts differently. I hope it regulates soon for you though.
I'm sorry for your loss. Oh, and make sure to read the 'peas'. The link is in some of the ladies signatures. Gives some info on how the board works and basic rules a lot of the posters follow. It's very helpful for the board and for IRL. Basically, this is a very give support and get support in return. I usually try to give new posters that info, as I learned that in posting on this board in the last couple months.
(P.S. if you do get a BFP -big fat positive- soon, there is a great board to called pregnant after a lost that is pretty awesome. Make sure to not post BFP's on loss boards, the PGAL board is there for that. Not that you would post it here, a lot of new posters don't realize it.)
Hope that's helpful, and again i'm so sorry for your loss. *Hugs*

I am going through this same thing right now. I know I am not PG, but my second AF post-M/C is late. I called my OB to make sure it was ok that my cycle was a little weird this time around. My doc said what all the TTCAL ladies have said, that it takes your body awhile to return to "normal" after a loss. Hopefully AF will arrive soon! Good luck!
After my most recent m/c, I had a 28 day cycle and then a 40 day cycle. I've never had a cycle over 32 days before my m/c.
It just takes time for your body to "regulate".
