::Lucky Charms Check-in::

I swear I am so forgetful. This is the second week in a row that I forgot it was Monday. How was everyone's weekend? Any updates? QOTW: I am seeing a lot of maternity clothes topics around the boards! Are you needing maternity clothes yet? Where do you think you will be buying them? What styles do you like? ETA: Sorry it's not letting me add paragraphs.

Re: ::Lucky Charms Check-in::

  • I actually bought some maternity clothes this weekend! DH and I drove 45 minutes to the closest Old Navy with a maternity section so we could use that 30% coupon that was all over the internet. Lately, my pre-pregnancy pants with belly bands have been tight and uncomfortable so I needed maternity jeans.

They were having a sale on maternity jeans so 30% on top of that = cheap! I also got some tops and DH got some work out tech shirts and shorts. Great deals!

Other places I've bought maternity clothes are Target (though depends on the store--the one by my house has the tiniest selection, but the Super Target up the road has a great section), Motherhood Maternity and Kohls.

For now, I'm wearing maternity jeans. I've bought a few maternity dresses and can still fit in most of my pre-pregnancy tops.

  • This weekend was pretty boring for me.  Nothing big going on.  My grandmother bought us a stroller which is awesome!  And I went to the gym yesterday.  I feel like I'm starting to be able to act normal again.

QOTW: I am wearing a belly band and had to buy new bras, but that's it now.  Whenever I need maternity clothes, I'll probably shop at Target or Wal Mart.  Jeans and a simple top will work for me so I'm not wanting to spend too much money.

  • I spent pretty much the whole weekend sick or cramped.  But otherwise it was ok.  I did have to go to a Boy Scout court of honor for DH's old troop.  They were recognizing all the Eagle Scouts from the past 72 years.  It was hot and rather unexciting but I think he's glad we went.  My MIL was there and was telling random folks about us being pregnant.  I wanted to scream, she even told us she respected us not wanting people to know.  But atleast her yaking means she's not going to be quite as horrid as I though.

QOTW: I'm going to go through all of the hand me downs first and then go from there.  I'm too bloated below my belly button to wear my jeans.  As off Sunday that is.  So I'm going to have to think about something.  Maybe a BeBand.  I don't know yet.  I probably won't be buying many but the ones I do buy will likely be from Target, Motherhood, and used places like Once Upon a Child (DH and I are cheap when it comes to clothes lol)

  • Weekend was crazy busy, but in a good way.  I'm so exhausted now it's hard to pretend to work while I cruise around on here :)

QOTW:  I bought a bunch of clothes, earlier than I wanted to but the Thyme Maternity store here was having a sale, plus BOGO on top of that.  So I'm keeping the receipts for anything that doesn't fit when I actually need to wear them.  I'm IN LOVE with the tops though - they are really like regular tops, just longer!  I may have worn a couple already because when I feel like a shlump, a new piece of clothing kinda picks me up!

On that note - anyone that's bought anything early - confess - did you try the little "bump" on with the clothes and if so - wasn't that the wierdest thing in the world??

  • We had a great weekend - went down to the coast for a couple days and just relaxed!  DH played on the jet-ski ALL weekend, but I decided to play it safe and just laid out and finished some books!

QOTW: I'm pretty much wearing all maternity pants, or at least elastic waist pants, all the time now.  My shirts still fit fine.  It's weird though - I've lost 10 pounds in the last 3 months Embarrassed, my usual belly pudge is gone, but my pants are still too tight.  It's exciting though!

I've bought stuff from Kohl's and Belk's (neither have very good maternity sections!) and most from Old Navy.

  • Weekend was pretty low key. We did go to a wedding on Saturday - it was an afternoon garden party reception, which was beautiful, but it was so hot and I was so hungry by the time we got to eat that I immediately felt nauseous.

I keep thinking that my m/s is going away, then it seems to come right back again. Sigh.

QOTW: I actually haven't bought anything yet! I don't really look pregnant at all... I look more like I just ate too much at my last meal. So far, I have had to unbutton my pants here and there, but I haven't actually gained any weight yet (likely due to m/s and food aversions!). I think the first purchase will have to be a bella band. I'm bummed I missed the Thyme Maternity sale though! It would have been nice to get a few things on sale. Oh well. Next time. :) I can't wait to finally LOOK pregnant!

  • I felt great this weekend and woke up today with nausea again.  YUCK!  I feel like I could hurl at any minute.  Boo for m/s!  This weekend, we bought new tile for our kitchen.  I want to try to get as much of the home reno done before peanut comes, because let's face it until this one is about 2 I don't plan on doing anything to the house that I don't have to!  We have a 3 day weekend next weekend and took off Tuesday too, so we can hopefully between the two of us get our tiny kitchen/dining room combo retiled completely.  Wish us luck!  It's our first time tiling, but we are DIY pros at this point.  Figured it was time to try our hand at tiling.  If it goes well, the upstairs ugly green tiled bathroom is getting gutted.  DH doesn't know this yet.  LOL

I am in maternity clothing.  Honestly my pre-maternity clothes just fit... so with a little added bulge they were tight pretty early.  And I am one of those people who right away cannot stand to have anything tight or heavy on my stomach.  Even resting my hands on my stomach drives me nuts.  Poor DH tries to snuggle at night and I have to tell him EVERY time that it's uncomfortable.  So a 7.5 weeks I decided to wear some maternity pants that have the zipper and have side elastic (so they look like normal clothing) and the bella band.  This weekend I decided to call it quits with normal clothing and bella band.  That thing is not comfortable for plus size ladies.  I mean seriously NOTHING is comfortable (except my yoga pants)... so that means I am trying to not tell work and my belly is pouching out already.  People are going to start thinking I need to lay off the donuts soon.

  • I've sadly been wearing maternity pants to work since before I was pregnant.  I got some because they were really comfortable and I mostly wear those and some other stretchy pants since I sit at a desk and don't do much during the day.  All of my tops should be ok throughout my pregnancy but once I do decide to announce it I'm thinking of getting some "pregnancy tees" the ones with funny sayings on them.

  • My weekend was good.

We went to the book store and sipped coffee and read while my inlaws watched the boy on Saturday. On Sunday we lounged around the house.

Tomorrow is my NT scan. I am so nervous.

I have bought a pair of jeans and capri's. I have some clothes from last time that are little too big but I am wearing the pants that were a little too small last time.

I buy my pants at Motherhood when they have a good sale.

I really like old navy shirts so when I finally can't fit into regular shirts I will buy some from there.

  • Had a great weekend - went out of town and visited friends, B, SIL and new nephew and my sister. We brought our older nephew home with us and dropped him off at his grandparents - 5 hr trip with 2 1/2 y.o. not so bad!

I have bought a few maternity items and got a whole bunch more from my SIL this weekend. The ones I bought are business/office style and from Thyme Maternity. The ones from SIL are mostly casual (I didn't take her work clothes bc she has different sense of style). I think I will be in maternity pants from here on out, but have quite a few non-maternity tops that will last me a while .

  • my weekend was pretty quiet. i was excited i actually had enough energy to clean this weekend. like i got out the mop bucket and everything. the apartment smelled great.

QOTW: i'm still in my regular clothes plus a be band. i have a few pair of jeans that i can still button because they are super low rise but i'm spoiled and buttoning pants is just stupid to me now lol. my aunt is a thrift store queen so i have some tops lined up i just haven't started wearing them yet. i've been leaning towards my regular looser clothes because it just looks like a have a beer gut not a profound bump. but like a pp said, i have bookmarked a few maternity shirts with cute sayings on them for when it becomes obvious.

  • I am doing better it seems...though I COMPLETELY freaked myself out about going through this pregnancy, L&D and being a mother :)

QOTW:  I have gained 10 lbs :(  I need to begin a workout regimen now that i am feeling better and go back to introducing good foods back into my diet.  Needless to say, I have definitely popped a bit and am now in maternity clothes.

  • weekend was great.  it was my birthday on friday, so we went out to a little italian cafe for dinner.  then saturday i finally had enough energy to do things, so we went to brunch, to the movies, to pizza for dinner, and went to several coffee houses along the way.

i am not wearing any maternity clothes yet.  my friend gave me a huge bag of her maternity clothes, but they are all too big for me.  i am just getting too chubby for my regular clothes, so i suppose i will be going shopping sooner rather than later.  i have not figured out shopping for clothes in NZ, so this should be an adventure.

  • Not much this weekend.  Had the first rehearsal for a musical I'm directing and then went to a birthday party for a friend's husband.

No maternity clothes yet.  The m/s seems to finally be under control (knock on wood), so I can actually start gaining weight.  I'd lost 9 lbs due to m/s.  My mom seems disappointed.  She really wants to go maternity clothes shopping.  I'll probably get them at Ross and Target.

  • I am officially wearing maternity work pants and it has been so much better. I can still fit into most of my other clothes though. I have purchased things from Motherhood Maternity as well as a really neat all maternity consignment store in my area...nothing like getting a brand new pair of Gap maternity jeans for $5!

  • Weekend was good- just did a lot of relaxing and movie watching.  Rented "The Backup Plan" and it was really cute!  I don't love J Lo, so I was surpised I liked it so much.

Not wearing any maternity clothes yet.  I have a little pooch, but can hide it with my flowier tops.  My pants are only a little snug when I sit down.  Looking forward to shopping for cute maternity clothes (if they even exist).  We do have some cute maternity boutiques that I know have some decent stuff- it's pretty pricey though, so that's no good!

  • weekend was basic, cleaned, watched football with hubby, did some weeding.

As for clothes, my friend/coworker is going to give me a tub of hers and I want to go to my local target and try stuff on first then decide what I need to buy after I go through hers. Also going to a large consignment sale of childrens stuff and there is a maternity section so hope to hit that up too. for now just using the belly band.

  • Hey there!  My weekend was good - extremely busy... we went out of town for DH's b-day and got to see his new triplet niece and nephews!!  They are TINY, still in NICU, but doing well.

My only update this week is that I have my second Dr. appt on Thurs and NT scan.  I'm so nervous and so excited at the same time... I will feel much better after this appt.

QOTW - Most of my clothes are still fitting but I did buy a maternity bra and while I was at the store, I got a pair of jeans and a shirt... for later though, they are still too big.  I have a bloaty/fatty looking belly, it's annoying actually!  I can't wait to have an actual baby bump.

  • I just bought a few maternity items this weekend because my current clothes are getting pretty uncomfortable around the tummy.  I used the 30% off deal at the Gap and bought an pair of basic black work pants and a dress.  I was really excited to find out that they carry LONG pants in maternity (I'm 5'10" and was afraid I wouldn't be able to find maternity pants that were long enough).  I also bought a cute dress at Target and a pair of citizens jeans (which are also nice and long) at Hot Mama.  I think it is going to be a much more comfortable week!!  (and it will be nice to not have to unbutton and unzip my pants at work).

  • Hey everyone - I got a terrible cold last week so my weekend was spent in bed.  I was sad too because we had to cancel reservations to go to Discovery Cove :(

I bought a couple bras at Motherhood Maternity, didn't like them, so I exchanged them for an outfit.  I don't think I'm nearly ready for it yet.  The pants would feel good, but the panel starts soooo low that it requires a long maternity shirt to wear with it.  I don't know what I was thinking, but I figure I'll eventually get use out of it :)

  • Our weekend was pretty good - but busy!  We just moved into a new house and unpacking has been very slow-going since I have had no energy!  Its finally getting into a decent condition and feeling like we live here.  Next project - baby room!

QOTW: I bought a few pairs of maternity pants, mostly because I felt really uncomfortable with my pants unbuttoned at work! But they are mostly too big and I spend most of the day pulling them up.  We are going on vacation in two weeks and I'm thinking of getting some dresses to wear since we will be in Hawaii and I can't fit any of my shorts!
