Putting in my notice and I'm so scared.

I SAH with DS till he was 6 months old.  I've been working full time nights for a year and it just isn't worth it anymore.  I'm putting in my notice this week and I'm so scared.  DS is so busy these days and I'm nervous I'm not going to be able to keep up with him or that I will be dissapointed being at home all the time.  I'm SO excited but so scared at the same time!

    You'll be fine! I was off with DD for mat leave, then went back to work for a month before I SAH. I was so nervous that first week, and wondered what I had done. That's about how long it took to get into a nice routine. It sure beats a 2-hour commute!

    It will all fall into place, but give yourself some time to find your groove.

    And as for your question on 12-24, I don't have a set schedule. Playdates always take precedent over errands and house cleaning. I fill in errands (grocery store, Target, other) on days we don't have any plans and I just clean as needed, but then again I'm not a big cleaner, everything has to be spotless and everything has a place kinda' gal.

    Some days are tough and feel long and I count down to naps and bedtime. Other days are pure joy and filled with fun and laughter.

    Now that DS has finally gotten the hang of walking I'm really looking forward to spending time up at our park this fall.

    I am in the same boat as you! Today was my last day with my employer and I just feel like I am in limbo. I am so nervous to see how the pay decrease affects us! Its one thing to write it down and crunch it out on paper but another to feel it throughout the month. I can already see a difference in my little man though. He has so much fun and is so happy with me at home. I am still nervous though - - I hope I made the right decision!
