Please rec your fertility doc!
Well, DS came along so easily and unexpectedly, we had no idea conceiving #2 would be tough. Any recs for good fertility specialists in the NOVA area? Trying to avoid going to DC or MD if possible. Thanks!

I would highly recommend Dr. Chang.
A third vote for Shady Grove. I started with them in their annandale office and then moved to Rockville. They have tons of locations in VA. If you end up needing an IUI or IVF procedure on a weekend, you'll have to drive to Rockville, but it's right off 270.
I live in Arlington, and I went to Dominion Fertility in Arlington (right off Rt. 50 and Glebe Rd.). They only have two doctors so you see the same one for all of your treatments. I mainly saw Dr. DiMattina, but Dr. Gordon did my HSG and a few other things and I really liked him a lot. Dr. D does seem a bit gruff when you first meet him, but once I got to know him, I really, really liked him, and trusted him so much. I am currently 30 weeks pregnant, and if I have trouble with # 2, I would not hesitate to go back to DF. Their nurses are great too. Their monitoring hours are 7-9 am and I never had to wait more than a few minutes for monitoring.
Keep in mind that you have to go to Gaithersburg for treatments (I think you can do monitoring at other locations) for Shady Grove.

Honestly, I think Dominion is horrible. The facilities are old, dingy, and outdated and it just gave me a bad feel from day 1. The biggest factor were the Drs's. I had the easiest issue (I even knew what they had to do) and Dr. D. was a jerk from day 1, totally inseinsitive (and I never get offended) and didn't even know what to do.
He said surrogacy was the only answer and acted like it was nothing.
I literally made an appt. right away with Dr. Widra at Shady Grove and got pregnant right away one my one and only procedure of IVF and now I have a 4-year old little girl.
We went straight to IVF (which is what I knew should be done in the first place) and only implanted one embryo because my cervix couldn't hold multiples. It was truly a miracle with no help from DF.
