anyone doing Cord Blood Banking?

We are doing cord blood banking. was just curious if anyone else had thought about it yet. What company are you going with and why?

we have it narrowed down to ViaCord (most expensive) and then Family Cord/California Cryobank (larger than ViaCord) with cheaper prices.

I will be donating mine to the hospital cord bank in my state.

we won't be. we don't have the money and, also, none of our many friends and family with kids have done it so we don't feel pressured to or that we're expected to.

I'm considering donating it but the hospital I'll deliver at doesn't accept it so I'm not sure if I'll go through the trouble even though I know how lazy that sounds!

We banked with CBR for DS #1 and will do the same with DS #2.

We most likely are and will use Cord Blood Registry too. We were trying to decide between Via Cord and CBR because we were advised to go with a company that has a long, stable history. We had several recs from friends for CBR. My OB's office said they will usually accept the others coupons if that helps too.
