3rd Trimester

Are you going to miss being pregnant?

I was just thinking how I love being able to feel my little one moving around in my belly. I think I will miss that. I mean I know it will be even better when I can hold her in my arms! Over all I probably won't miss being pregnant too much except for the movement and the little bond I have with her right now. Smile I won't miss being uncomfortable sleeping, the pain in my hips and feeling fat all the time!

What do you guys think? What will you miss and not miss?

Re: Are you going to miss being pregnant?

  • I don't think I'm going to miss it. I can't wait to feel "normal" again!

  • I will most definitely miss it because there is a very big chance that this is our last.
  • I will miss nothing.

I'd rather feel her moving in my arms than in my belly. It really fricken hurts sometimes!  Everything else sucks, including the big ole belly [I already had the big ol' boobs

  • I don't think I'll miss it. I've had a relatively easy pregnancy, but still...

Ok here's one thing: I'll miss not needing to suck my stomach in and being able to let it all hang out and being proud of a round belly ;)

  • Yes. I totally missed it after my first, it was so weird to not feel movement in there, not have a big stomach, etc.  Plus I know I'll only get less sleep once the baby is here!

  • I do not think I'll miss it.  I'm far too uncomfortable right now.
  • A couple of weeks ago I was L-O-V-I-N-G being pregnant. Now I just can't wait for it to be over.

I especially wont miss the heartburn!!

  • I'm not going to miss a damn thing!  Feeling the baby is great and all, but the rest of it....well it just sucks.  I've not had the greatest experience.  I spent the first two tri's hanging over the toilet, and now in third tri I have gallstones.  I can't wait for December.  Thank God my baby is healthy though.  Even if mama's not Ellie is good as gold.
  • Oops..I thought I posted early on accident and then it wasn't there [weird] so sorry if this posts twice.

To make a longer post short: I will miss NOTHING about being pregnant. Considering that her movement/kicks hurt most of the time, I won't even miss that. She's going to be our one and only child, and I can't wait for my body to return to normal [as much as possible]!!

  • I am. I like being pregnant. I've had 2 (well - almost 2!) completely uneventful, healthy, no morning-sickness pregnancies. Both have been easy and fun. It's a little sad knowing I'll never be pregnant again (tubal ligation after i deliver). We only want 2 kids.

  • I'll miss feeling bebe and not having body-image issues about how big I am (though the "you are huge" comments are irksome). That's about it. Except I might really miss having only one kid!
  • Not me! Between the nausea, heartburn, siatica pain and tiredness, I am so ready to be done and see him! He can't get here fast enough.
  • Yes and no.  It's something I have always wanted to experience, and I find it amazing that I can grow a human.  BUT I cannot wait to sleep on my back, to not be pregnant, and to get labor over with.

  • I have had a super easy pregnancy, and even I won't miss being pg.  I'm ready to be more comfortable.  I just want an outside baby!

I know I'll get to experience being pregnant again, maybe that's why I won't really miss it.

  • Nope.  I have had a very easy pregnancy but I miss my cute clothes, my energy, sex, etc.  Plus, I can't wait to be able to share the baby with DH!!
  • Nope. I'd much rather have our baby in my arms.  Plus, I totally miss my cute clothes and shoes, going for a long run at the gym and being able to see my lady-parts when I shave.  I'm ready for this science experiment to be over!
  • Yes and no... I don't think this will be our last one. I think we will have one more after this. Not for a while since I like to have my kids a little far apart. I think maybe in about 4 years when this one is in kindergarden and my other will be in 5th grade. But, point is I will miss my sons kicks and being spoiled from being pregnant but I know I will feel it again in a few years. I will proabably really miss being pregnant after that one. But, for now I just really want to be able to sleep on my belly, have a martini, wear my normal sized jeans and tee's, have sex in all different positions and just overall feel more comfortable. Jeeze isn't 9 months of being pregnant enough?! lol

  • I dont know if I will miss "being" pregnant but I will miss the convenience of it... like when he has been crying for hours and I cannot get any sleep, thinking that he was so much quieter in my belly! Ya... I will probably be there at one point.
  • i just want to say...that i miss it soooooo much.

i miss laying on the bed with DH every night and feeling/seeing her move around in there...

    i so loved being pregnant.

  • I had a really easy pregnancy, but I think once the baby is here I won't miss being pregnant!  Smile  BUT I won't mind getting pregnant soon after either!
  • Nooooo. The only thing I'll miss is feeling her, but right now I definitely miss having my body to myself! :)

  • Yes, I will miss it.  Except for the last 5 weeks, that I won't miss!
  • Part of me thinks I won't miss it at all. Being able to hold her and feed her...and not being uncomfortable. But the other part of me will definately miss the movement and the connection with her 24/7.
  • I will miss feeling her move inside of me and I will miss the extra attention and the excitement that comes with being pregnant.  However I will not miss how uncomftorable I feel and all the lovely little symptoms that pop up her and there.
  • No. I don't think I will.  My dirty little secret is that I am freaked out by the baby moving in me.
  • I also will miss feeling the baby move around inside of me. However, I can't wait to finally hold him in my arms. I won't miss being uncomfortable at night or the morning sickness!!
