PSA: Diaper rash magic remedy

I swear.  Evelyn had runny poops, 8-9 times a day for almost a solid week (we determined it was the oatmeal and have ceased all cereals for now until she can be back to normal.  Which should be soon as its been over 24 hours without a poop YAY!)

 

Anyhoo, her little bum got so raw it was bleeding.  She would scream any time we changed her, which was often seeing as where she's poop every 30 minutes or so.  She would clench her little cheeks so much, she wouldn't even bend her legs to let me clean her up. 

I tried everything.  Desitin, Aquaphor, Butt Paste, A&D Ointment, etc etc.  Nothing was helping her.

My friend suggested Mylanta.  Yes, the belly medicine.  She said to dab it on the area with a cotton ball.

I started this Sat morning and as of today, the bum is almost completely healed!  Unreal.

    We used to use this at work for raw skin around wounds.  Glad it worked for your LO!  I have to remember this if I need if for DD.  I tend to forget about it until someone mentions it!

    My pedi rec'd mylanta for diaper rash AND a mixture of mylanta and benedryl in the fridge as a rub for the gums for teething.  Glad it worked for you!

    Maloxx works awesome too! I used it mixed with aquaphor for ds allergy rash and it worked better than anything. I bought the mint flavor and it smelled so good, lol.
