I had several co-workers doing it although I think only one person did it correctly with medical supervision. In fact, she's done at least 3 cycles over the past year (once a quarter, maybe). I'd say she'd been fairly successful at it. She was probably 250-300 lbs and may still be a little over 200 now.
I don't know how it can be healthy - thinking of the others not doing in exactly right. It's very very strict. 500 calories a day seems crazy! Your body needs at least 1000 calories a day to survive. My other co-worker can't stand listening to everyone *** and moan about it all and when they all go for the one apple in the afternoon break, and such.
It's calories in/calories out. And this is speaking from someone that's overweight. They started while I was on maternity leave. I wouldn't have done it anyways. I paid to work with a trainer at my gym. Now if I can just stop eating like a horse while BF I'll be back on track like I was when I got pregnant a year ago!
Hopefully your doctor gives you great advice and will monitor you closely if you choose to do it! GL
Take a chance. Take a risk. Take the initiative. Make your wishes a reality and make your dreams come true!
Re: NBR: Has anyone tried the HCG diet?
