Exercising again: Day 1
I used to run every day and workout 5 times in addition to that a week. Now I am just TOO tired. I spend all day with my 2 year old, and 4 days with extra kids. It's very tiring. But today is day 1 of starting to try and work out again. I have read (and believe) that working out helps to beat exhaustion. My plan is to walk or run for 20 minutes each morning before breakfast. Bike for 20 minutes during DS's naptime and then do an additional 20 minutes either walking the dog or lifting light weights after DS goes to bed.
Ill keep you posted! ![]()
Re: Exercising again: Day 1
I am a marathoner and actually have another full this coming Oct 17th. I haven't been able to run in a week and will not be able to run this week because I am still sick. I do have a 10k this Sunday which I should be able to run in. So far, the farthest I ran while pregnant is 14 miles and that really wiped me out..with a lot of walking.
I am still going to train for my marathon but I am taking it very easy. My coach and people on my team all know that I am pregnant and understand that I am taking it easy. Heck..I am still at least faster than some people so I know that I will not be last.
It is hard though. I am blogging about my experience of training while pregnant and some people get a kick out of it. There are days when I am too tired to run, so I don't. I pushed myself and that wiped me out for a few days.
