Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Does your LO still sleep in your room?

Or have you moved them into their nursery? And how old were they when you moved them?

My DD is 17 weeks and still sleeping in our room. We are in the process of moving and once we get her nursery settled at the new place we hope to move her in :)

Re: Does your LO still sleep in your room?

  • He's still in our room. We tried to move him to the nursery a few nights ago, and it didn't work out very well. I think we're all happier with him in our room for now.

  • We moved LO into his own room at 8 weeks.  It was pretty painless and we are all sleeping great!

  • I've been thinking about moving her into the nursery lately - or at least into her crib (whether that's in our room or the nursery). Incidentally, we found mold in the master bath, so instead we've moved our bed into the nursery Stick out tongue

  • We have a 1 bedroom so I divided the living room and made him a little baby area. He sleeps in his crib since he was about 8/10 weeks old. He had been in a cradle but he broke it. He kept thrashing about and the bottom popped off. Since then he is in the crib

  • My LO will sleep in his cradle, his wedge or his Baby Einstein bouncer either in our room, the living room, or our second guest bedroom that has a double bed and a crib.  Sometimes I sleep in our second guest bedroom because it is quieter, and I have put him in the crib--he did good.  He has reflux though, so mostly we put him in his wedge or Baby Einstein bouncer.

We do not have a monitor, so this works good for us.   He has been fussy lately, so when he sleeps it is bliss.

  • still in our room and we sleep just fine.  we had some mold (yes, ewwww...) issues in our duplex and the landlord took a long time getting around to fixing them.  it started when we got a ton of rain this summer and the water seeped up through the floor in his nursery.  Nolan's doctor suggested we move and I was in agreement with him if we didn't have to pay so much to get out of our lease.  so Nolan just kept sleeping in our room.  now we moved him into our guest room and they finally came and fixed up the moldy room (so it's now the office/guest room) and we plan to start moving him next week.  he'll be 5 months old.  i could careless if he stayed in our room.  i love looking at his cute sleeping face every night before i go to bed :)

  • still co-sleeping.  we had to move 4 weeks ago because the condo we rented was foreclosed on and sold in auction.  In anticipation, we hadn't even purchased a crib.  And now, DH got a new job and we'removing across country.  Once we settle in we'll set up a room for DS

  • still in our room in his pack n' play bassinet.  he's 4 mo and a week so i think we'll be moving him within the next week.  i have such mixed feelings about it!
  • 17 weeks? I had to think for a minute and do the math. Yes DD is still sleeping in our room. She sleeps in a co-sleeper. We will be getting our crib this week or next when she turns 5 months so we will be transitioning at either 5.5 months or at 6 months.
  • DD sleeps in the rock n play, which is now in her room. Trying to transition to crib, but she wakes up too often in the crib.

  • Yes. We are not ready for her to move out yet.  She still has some room in the bassinet.

  • DD has been in her crib in her room since around 4 weeks. We all started sleeping better the night we put her in there. BF rolls around a lot at night and I think the sound od our squeaky bed was waking her up. Plus every little sound she made woke me up and I had to get right up and look at her!
  • We moved Sarah into the nursery at 6 weeks when I started EPing and she was sleeping long stretches. The pump woke her up, which woke DH up.
  • Yep, lo is still currently in our room. This Thursday he will be getting his lip/nose surgery, so we are planning on moving him to his crib in his own room this weekend. I am so nervous! It's going to be so weird him not being in the same room as us, but it's for the best because now he wakes up at any little sound that is made.

  • DD is still in our room.  She's 16 weeks old.  We're planning to move her into her crib in her nursery this weekend.  I would like to keep her in our room (she sleeps in a PnP) longer, but I am afraid she is getting dangerously close to the weight limit for the PnP bassinet.

This exactly...moved the RNP to her room last week. Slowly transitioning to the crib...she still gets up about every 3-4 hours..but in the crib it's more often. We'll get there :)

  • Still in our room in the RNP....mostly b/c I am lazy.  All of our kids room are upstairs and the master is down, I do not want to deal with going up and down the stairs at 3-4am when he gets up to eat.  I already fell down those stairs once and do not want to do it esp in the middle of the night!  our family room is upstairs, so he does go down in his crib, we just take him with us when we go down to bed.

I take DD downstairs to eat, change her diaper, etc... and fell down the stairs with her in my arms once when she was a couple weeks old...luckily I landed so perfectly it did not even jolt her.

Now that she is down the hall...I ran into the wall and bumped my head on the doorjam going to get her the other night lol !
