Mucous-like bleeding?

Has anyone experienced this?  It reminds me of EWCM with brown and red blood mixed in.  I've had it since Friday and have been spotting for over two weeks now (all brown until Friday).  I had an ultrasound on Wednesday and the baby had a strong heartbeat.  I plan on calling my doctor tomorrow morning even though she just said to call if I have heavy bleeding.  It's there when I wipe every time I go to the bathroom, but not much is making it onto my pantiliner.....Sorry if any of this was TMI, but I think the subject hinted at that.

    I had this for one day of the overall week & a half bleeding that I had. Only when I wiped though. Still sending thoughts your way though!

    Please don't read this if you don't want to hear a negative outcome.

     

    I had the same exact thing with my first pregnancy. Mucousy bleeding started at about 7w, and it lasted for two weeks, no cramping at all. In that time, I had three U/S. The first showed baby with a strong heartbeat but a couple days behind in growth (at the time, we thought, no biggie). The next, a week later, showed the baby had only grown a few days' worth, but HB still strong. At that time, I went on progesterone. The next week, the baby had suddenly grown a week, then died...which perplexed my doc, but still, the end result was miscarriage. A few days later, I started cramping and bleeding in earnest, and I had a natural miscarriage about 5 or 6 days after the last U/S.

    I hope you have a better outcome. T&P.

    I had this during weeks 5-8 of this pregnancy. It was part of the spotting with my subchorionic hematoma. I had everything from brown to red back to red....sometimes heavy and then it tapered down with what you are talking about. When I was diagnosed via ultrasound with a subchorionic hematoma, the dr. told me there was no way to predict how long my bleeding/spotting would last, but that generally a small one like what I had would resolved itself by the end of the first trimester. Thankfully, I stopped spotting sometime during week 8.

    Call your dr.'s office about it if you are worried, but honestly, try not to worry about it. I do know that's easier said than done, but you should have a follow-up ultrasound this week, right? Until then, unless you are bleeding heavily, try to assume everything is ok. The stress and worry is not good for you or the baby!
