Did anyone have an anterior placenta?

I thought I was feeling movement early on, but I guess it was just gas.

I feel the large movements where they are turning, but not the kicks.

I am just wondering when you felt movement with an anterior placenta on a regular basis. On the ultrasounds every week, I see them kicking away at my placenta, but I can't feel it.

I'm waiting patiently for them to come. :)

  • I did. Smile I didn't feel regular kicks until 20 or 21 weeks, and even then they were pretty light. I think I started feeling more solid whacks at around 25 weeks? It also took DH longer to be able to feel them kick because the placenta was in the way.

My baby B had an anterior placenta.  I agree with the above completely.  I'm just glad that I knew which one had the AP.  I really would have been freaked if I could feel one baby so distinctly but not the other!

  • I had one anterior placenta and one partly anterior placenta. I felt both babies for the first time at 19w. It was 23w when DH was able to feel them for the first time.

  • I had one with my singleton pregnancy and one with my little girl with my twin pregnancy.   Both times it was right around 22 weeks I started feeling movements.  The movements were down low and on the sides mainly....almost never in the middle of my tummy.

I had one anterior placenta. I could feel DD really early. DS I couldn't feel very well until after 22weeks. Plus he was a laid back baby, so he wasn't all over the place like his sister.

  • I'm going to be an outcast here.  I had an anterior placenta with DD#1 and I felt her from 17 weeks on A LOT!!  Baby A has an anterior placenta and Baby B has a posterior and I feel Baby A more.  Weird, huh?  Oh yea, and movement since 13 weeks here!!

  • I had an anterior placenta and began feeling them regularly around 20 weeks. The u/s proved they were doing ok, but it wasn't reassuring until I began feeling them regularly.  I'm sure you'll feel them any day:)  its so exciting!
  • A had a placenta previa and B had an anterior. I didn't really feel movement until 25 weeks. My previa resolved at about 28 weeks and that seemed to be the same time I felt movement on a constant basis.

I also ended up with a tennis sized ball posterior acredia. My placentas were all messed up!

  • Both of my boys had anterior placentas, and I didn't feel really regular movement til about 22 weeks.  I think I felt the first flutters around 19 weeks.

  • I had 2 anterior placentas. I felt flutters around 16 weeks and kicks a few days later.

  • One DD had an anterior (baby B). That always made me nervous since I could feel A so strongly but over the weeks they both were undeniably accounted for :). First flutters at 17.5 weeks and kicks/movement not until early 20s.

  • Consistently felt Lefty (baby B) from 16wks on and Righty (baby a) was off an on...I'd go up to 4 days w/o feeling him at all. Dh could feel them both on the outside at 20wks they started belly dancing a few days after that...Sometime last weekend Righty turned from transverse to vertex and now I feel him aaaaall day :-) I never realized how busy both of them were during the day. One is anterior and one is posterior but I have no idea which is which...they told me but I keep forgetting :-/
