NTTCALR DH got a new car!

So DH's car was older and he had to redo the transmission right before we got married. It was a super simple no bells and whistles car that he got when he graduated high school. We've been looking for a little bit and had a handle on what he wanted and the budget we were looking at.

He went with FIL yesterday and found an 09 Kia Optima that was fully loaded (navigation, heated leather seats, sunroof, everything!) that had been a showroom car so it only had 50 miles on it from moving it around the lot and a few tests drives. They gave him a great price since it was an '09 and all the warranties as if it were brand new, so he jumped on it. It was less that what we had budgeted and he is tickled because it has a V6 which he really wanted!

I don't know what is the most exciting part, the fact that he got such a great deal on a really nice car or that I don't have to go car shopping anymore! Stick out tongue

Yay for a new car!!! We're a 1 car family right now and DH really needs his own. I have a feeling we might be going car shopping soon.

I vote that being done car shopping is more exciting! The only thing worse is buying a house I think. Congrats on the sweet deal too!

Totally jealous! I desperately want a new car. I've had my car since July 2004. Bought it when it had 30k miles on it. I drove 130/day for 2 years at my first job. It now has 144k miles on it. We are trying to keep it for another year (although we are a little worried about the transmission and I put about $2000 into it last year) because we are not sure if I will have a job next year. Anyway...sooo jealous.
