1st Trimester

I was shopping at the wrong place!

I've been shopping at motherhood maternity.... I should have been shopping at JCPenny in the Maternity section! Way cheaper and I think better quality clothes.

  • If you don't mind resale clothes you should check around at your local thrift stores. Way cheaper and some of them still in really good condition.

  • There's no JCP where I am, but I'll go ANYWHERE but Motherhood.  Their stuff is way too expensive and the quality isn't even that great.

Good idea! I will check this out.

I agree! I got great jeans for $6 at a consignment shop, a pea in the pod shirt for $5, and a dress of $9.  The ones by me had small selections, but I'll go back and check for new stuff from time to time.

  • Thanks for posting this! I buy a lot of my regular work clothes at Penneys, but I haven't bought any actual maternity clothes yet. I will definitely look there.

  • I happen to LOVE the maternity section at Kohl's. They always have things on the clearance rack too. I haven't spent more than $9.00 for a top there and they are great quality.

  • Yeah Motherhood always seemed way over priced to me, not to mention their clothes weren't that cute.

You should check out Burlington Coat Factory.  Ours has a surprisingly large selection.  I got a lot of shirts there in my 1st pregnancy.  Unfortunately for me I can only get jeans at the Gap.  No one else seems to sell long maternity jeans.  Gap maternity jeans are fab though.  Their waist band is so much more comfy than the one pair of maternity jeans I bought from Penny's.
