My pelvis is going to crack in half I'm sure of it.

Holy cow. What is happening to me?  My hips and pelvis hurt so bad.  I roll over or take a step and things are cracking and popping.  I go to the OB tomorrow I might ask if this is all normal. Owie.

  • Sounds like round ligament pain.  Try a heating pad on low.

  • RLP is completely normal but pelvic pain can be a completely different issue.  Definitely say something to your Dr.  I've had a few friends who ended up having to wear those belly supports that wraps around your hips and tummy, it really helped them.

GL.  I hope it goes away soon.

  • I was lucky enough not to have pelvic pain but I hear it is HORRIBLE.  My bestie had it towards the end of her pregnancy and had a hard time sleeping.  I had it on the other end, I swear my DD was pushing her feet though my rib cage.  Either way, it is not fun to be in pain.

Let us know what your OB says. I am interested to hear if it is "normal" or not.

  • Mention it to your OB and ask about a referral to physical therapy if appropriate.  Your pelvis naturally becomes looser in pregnancy, and the pelvic bones can rotate and cause pain.  Like PP said, you may need a maternity belt, or you may just need to shown how to self-correct you pelvic alignment as needed.  I wore a belt for the last 10 weeks with my first for a pubic separation (only about 60-75% of the time) and it is the ONLY reason I was able to work until I delivered.

  • Many times I am sure my femur is going to pop right out of my hip joint.  It's not fun.  I only experience it on one side though...for now.  So sorry you're in pain.  I can't imagine having it on both sides!
