This is one of the few things N hasn't tried yet. I've read a couple of things that said anytime after 6 months, some things say to wait til 1 year to try any egg at all. While we do have seasonal allergies in our family, we really don't have any food allergies aside from my dad having an allergy to clams but no other shellfish. Would you start with some hard-boiled egg yolk at 9 months?

Re: When did you start egg yolk?
Mine said to wait until closer to a year but my Mom decided to give it to her at 8 months (even though I said not to). She got a red rash around her mouth. Then my Mom decided to feed it (read sneak it) to her again later in the week and she got a worse red rash around her mouth. After that I fed her egg yolks and she seemed ok with those. But about a month ago we accidentally gave her things with egg in them (veggie patties) and she threw up all.over.our.house. ugh. Anyway, now we have the epi pens for her because the allergy tests came back positive for egg.
But, neither DH or I are allergic to eggs - in fact, we don't even know any extended family that have an egg allergy.
We won't be trying ANY egg (unless cooked or baked in something) until well after a year.
My younger cousin was given french toast at around 10 months, and it triggered an allergic reaction (that he likely wouldn't have had if they'd waited). He wasn't allowed to go into any home or restraunt where eggs had been cooked in ANY way (even in cake) in the previous 24 hours till he was about 5. Dr.s said that being as strict as they were about it helped him grow out of it. Is that probably very common... I doubt it, but after seeing them only be able to take their son to Taco Bell for 5 years, I'm not risking it!
