Re: question for mom's on their third + pregnancies

  • I'm having my 3rd boy. All three of my pregnancies have been different too, including how I carried. DH was convinced this one was a girl, he was wrong. :-)

  • its funny how that happens!!! i would have sworn my second was a girl! everything was different in the begining. i guess that goes to show that every pregnancy is different ;)

  • I'm PG with #3. We have 2 girls at home.  Their pregnancies were mostly similar.

This pregnancy has been very different from my first two.  But we don't know if it's a boy/girl yet!

  • On my third here as well.  This pregnancy was very similar to my two pregnancies with the boys (although I have had much more fatigue but I attribute that to chasing the boys for the last 9 months!).  Honestly, I couldn't guess w/ any of the three as to gender.  I was convinced DS1 was a girl, didn't have much guess on DS2 and was convinced that this baby was a boy.  Due to some complications I have had many ultrasounds this pregnancy and always ask the technician if the baby is "still a girl"  I just don't want any surprises at the last minute.... lol.  FWIW, my DH was shocked that the baby was a girl.  He never really believed that we could have anything but boys as he is one of 3 himself.  I have a feeling that he is in for quite a ride!

  • This is my third and I have 2 boys already and we found out this one is a girl.  YAY!  But my first two pregnancies were very similar.  I had high BP with both and was put on bedrest with both.  This one I started out with terrible morning sickness and to this day I am still on nausea meds for it.  But I have not developed high bp and I'm still working full time at a day care.
  • On my third girl here and all three of my pregnancies have been different.  So you never know.  I would have guessed this one was a boy because of the differences but I have had four u/s's and they all say girl.  GL

Me! I have two boys and we have a girl on the way.

Honestly, this pregnancy has had some very noticeable differences (to me, anyway) - to the point that if u/s technology weren't available, I would still be very suspicious that I was having a girl without even being told.

The biggest difference was cravings. The old wives tale of craving sweets if you're having a girl - that happened to ring true for me. When I was PG with my boys, I enjoyed sweets, but I didn't have a CRAVING for them like I did with this PG. Early in this PG (like 12 weeks along) I constantly wanted Starburst and Skittles. Definitely a noticeable difference *for me.*

The other difference I noticed is that this pregnancy has given me a "harder time" than the other two!! I've had several UTI's.... and that is several more than I ever had with the boys. I've had to be put on antibiotics several times.... never had this issue with the boys, lol. And also many more yeast infections.... no fun!

Of course, every pregnancy really is different... but for me, these differences were more.... noticeable.

  • I'm on my 3rd pregnancy. My first was a girl, my second a boy, and this one is a boy. The 2nd was by far my hardest pregnancy and I had severe hyperemesis. This has been my easiest pregnancy so far, and it's also a boy. It hasn't been easy, but it's my first pregnancy without hyperemesis, so in comparison it's easy. I don't think the baby's sex has anything to do with how your body handles pregnancy.

  • I am pregnant with our 4th.  Our first two were boys and our third was a girl.  All of my pregnancies have been similar.  We are not finding out the sex this time.

  • I am pg with my 3rd and I have two girls at home. I found out we are having a boy and I've had a couple of u/s and each time I've asked, "are you sure"?? This pg has been completely different though. I had no m/s and my clothes seemed to fit a lot later into the pg. Now my maternity shirts are basically too small, but I refuse to buy anything else since I could have this baby any day. I went in for my check up at 36 weeks and measured at 1-2 cm/80% effaced and the doctor can feel the baby's head.

As far as cravings go, I haven't been incredibly hungry with this one. My first I ate like a cow because the only thing that didn't make me nauseous was eating. My 2nd it didn't matter if I ate or not in the beginning of the pg. I still felt sick. I've had a huge sweet tooth for all 3 though.

  • i have two boys and a girl...all different pregnancies...this one is another boy, but i knew it from the start that it was....funny, i was right with all 4 of what their sex was!!

  • Girl first.  Boy second.  Miscarriage.  Girl third.
  • We have 2 boys and do not officially know for #3.  I am pretty sure that I saw a penis on the 3D sonogram.  However, I have sonograms every 4 weeks due to complications early on and I have never seen anything between the legs when the femur bone is measure on the regular 2D sonogram.  My husband swears we are having a girl, but I think he just wants to prove me wrong.  I honestly can't imagine having anything else but a boy.  We didn't know for our 2nd either. I had a strong boy feeling and saw boy parts on the 2D sonogram as well.  Sure enough .... we had baby boy #2.

I think that I will fall out of my hospital bed if we have a girl.  I just don't think we can make one. :)

  • Have 2 boys - and my third is a girl - yay! I was convinced my 2nd would be a girl and my third a boy - but God knows best and I LOVE it! :)
