4 weeks pregnant and cramping

Hi, I just found out that I am pregnant. I have been having cramps for the past 3-4 days. They were mild, on/off at first, but now they are getting more regular and a little stronger. Is this normal?? I am really nervous!!

  • Unless you are bleeding or doubled over, I wouldn't worry too much. Your ute is just making room.

  • I had the cramping, and sometimes still do.  My nurse said it's normal as long as it's not bad.  When I had severe pains, it was gas.  But anything you don't feel comfortable with, you should always call your doctor.  That's what they told me...anything I didn't feel comfortable with.

  • It's actually pretty healthy. I know it sounds weird but if you cramp alittle it means that your baby is implanting well. As long and you aren't doubled over in pain or bleeding you should be happy! I had dull cramping from week 4 to the end of week 5.  It's normal and healthy.
  • As PP said, it's normal so long as you aren't bleeding or in unbearable pain. I still get occasional cramps. I typically drink a big glass of water and do some deep breathing. It typically calms me and then the cramping goes away

  • Yeah I've been cramping since a week before my period was due....that's what prompted me to take a pregnancy test.  Still cramping, doc says it's normal and okay.  It was like this with my other children as well.
  • I've had it too....we're just making room for the baby!

  • If they're like AF type it's normal.  I've nad cramping since before my BFP.  Your ute is making room for baby.  As long as it's not really strong and your not bleeding, you should be OK. If it really worries you call you Dr. in the am.
