  I walked in a week ago to the same exact thing and we had already lowered the mattress once.  Now after every nap he is standing there smiling at me when I come in.  It makes it a lot easier to pick him up without smushing my pregnant belly.

  I just told DH today that we should get the mattress lowered soon before DD does the same thing.

  BTW I love the outfit for your DD's 8 mo pic! We have the same set of pickysticky.
