Today is not my day (woe is me vent)

I love looking at little girl things. I had a gut feeling the last time I was pregnant that it was a girl and always imagined dressing her in cute winter clothes.

Well, my friends DD is turning 3 tomorrow and we're going to her party. She loves ducks, so we went to BRU to find duck stuff. I felt so overwhelmed and sad and frustrated that I couldn't find anything for a little girl, let alone duck stuff.

Then, I stupidly went to the actual baby section where I was looking at beautiful diaper bags and DS kept grabbing little baby toys. As I turned around, there was a pregnant woman in all her glory.

I came home and got on FB to see my old neighbours pictures of her big belly. She is due a week before I was this last time. I think if she has a girl (they aren't telling, go fig) it'll be really hard for me to talk to her for a while. I haven't seen her a month or more maybe, she barely had a bump then.

    I'm so sorry, hugs to you!

    I had a similar experience in BRU last weekend - I went to pick up a baby gate and it was too much, all of the cute baby stuff just made me want to sob :(

    Hopefully we all have BFP's and sticky babies soon!

    TTC since January 2010
    BFP 5/9/10. U/S - no heartbeat 6/2/10 (7 weeks). Induced miscarriage 6/7/10.
    Chemical pregnancies 12/2/10, 1/3/11, and 2/7/11.
    dx: RPL due to poor quality uterine lining; begin progesterone January 2011
    BFP 3/10/11. EDD 11/19/11. E arrived 11/15/11!

    I totally get it.  Shopping for my SIL who I was supposed to have a baby before has been torture.  I hope your neighbor has a boy!  ((hugs))

    I had a similar experience today at Target. I was walking trying to get to the back of the store and somehow found myself in the baby section. Wtf

    I'm so sorry. I know how you feel. My cousin was team green and I always knew that if they had a girl it would have been so hard for me. "Luckily" she had a boy.
