YAY SCIENCE!!! And you're right. Unfortunately there are A LOT of people who don't vaccinate because of a fear of Autism. I can't even keep track of how many people have told me not to for that reason!
I wouldn't say the anti-vac is a small movement. In my playgroup of 4 mothers 2 are anti-vac, one is delayed and I'm going per the doctors schedule b/c I couldn't find any compelling research to sway me away. We've been getting these shots for years, I just think with medical advancements we're able to catch things earlier and better than ever before so even slight autism is being identifired where 20-30 years ago the kid was just hyper or hard.
PPs are right, there are other reasons people use to not vax, but those have been largely disproven as effective as well.
Unless your kids have medical issues, there really isn't a medical reason to not vaccinate your children. End of story. I may come off like a b!tch or know it all on this topic, but its one of the few baby related things that really upsets me.

Moving on.
Someone please try and duke it out with Irish over this one.
A verbal smack-down would make my Saturday start out right . . .
oh please. That is not the only reason people choose not to vaccinate. I'm not saying this article isnt accurate, but for every scientific fact, there is one out there that proves the opposite.
Re: There! Now you don't have an excuse to NOT vaccinate your kid
welcome to 2009?
and people who truly dont vax/delay vax have 109482304982 other reasons than autism LOL it has nothing to do with those people's choices.
Majority of them don't vaccinate for the fear of autism.
Whatever the reason, it's irresponsible.
I'll bring back 2009 if ya like, with a little swine flu post
This.
that is not true.
