? for those who purchased a fetal doppler

Hello, I usually only post on TTCAL or SAL, but thought I could use some extra input before making my purchase.

Hi Bebe has a new model out that just has sound, and doesn't have the digital heartrate display (so you'd have to count the beats yourself) It is only $79 instead of $115, do you think it is worth paying the extra $ for the heartrate display? or did you mostly just use yours to listen?

    I bought a suck ass one that actually had good ratings.  I actually forget the name of it...but it's not hi  bebe.  I figured that it would suck since I got it for so cheap on amazon...I think like $40 or something when it's normal price is $100+

    I couldn't see not purchasing it with the heartrate display...just hearing the heartbeat isn't enough for me, I like to make sure he is within the normal range. The money is worth it IMO.

    Personally I think it's stupid to pay extra just to display the HR. ?It's not that complicated. ?Just count the number of HB's in a 10 second interval and multiply by 6. ?I guess I'm just having to do this at work so it's not a big deal to me. ?I'd save the money and buy the kid some clothes!

    this is completely unrelated, but is that puppy in your picture a cockalier? if so we have one too and she is the best doggie in the world!

     as far as the doppler, we have one that shows the heartrate, but i am not sure it is always accurate. so i mostly just use it to hear what is going on.

    That is the exact model that I have.  At first, I'd sit and calc hr.  But now, I just like to listen........ I think the only reason why DH let me get one is b/c it was under $100.
