Ugh! DH's friends just adopted a baby and today is the welcome home/baby shower thing.
I had planned to run errands with my mom so that I didn't have to go but DH doesn't want to go alone and says it'll look bad if I don't show up.
To make things worse, he wants to go buy baby stuff before we get there. There will be tons of babies there we haven't seen (since I've been avoiding them for a year), a lot of them would be around my little girls age.
They all know about my first loss, but not my second. I don't know how I'm going to get through the day.

I went to my first baby shower since my loss (over 2 years ago) a couple saturdays ago. It wasn't bad since it was more of a BBQ thing and the lady I work with who is pregnant has been trying for years. She only has half her uterus and 1 fallopian tube. So excited for her.

Sending you strength! I was just about to post that I was going to my first baby shower since my loss this afternoon as well. I'm really nervous and have already made a deal with myself that if I can't handle it I will just make up an excuse and leave.
