Soothies? You should be able to find them at Target, BRU, Wal-Mart, wherever. They're pretty common.

Make sure to get the GREEN ones though because the blue and pink ones have a harder nipple (thicker rubber) than the green ones. I didn't think it was a big deal, but DS refused the blue ones I had bought at Target after he had fallen in love with the one from the hospital.

My nephew received one similar to soothies but different enough that he refused it. I went back to the hospital and they gave me a few extra Big Smile

they make the 0-3 in all colors.

Its the over 3 months ones that are harder.

the green ones are newborn not 0-3, the blue ones (these may actually come in other colors) are 0-3...I agree w/ pp my DS wouldnt take the blue ones for a really long time b/c they were too firm and he eventually grew out of a paci and just chews on the blue ones occasionally

The green nicu soothies with the notch can be found on Ebay. The ones at Walmart, Target, etc are not the same ones they give at the hospital. The ones in the hospital are made by respironics, the ones in the retail stores are made by AVENT. The respironics ones are the ones with the notch cut out for hospital use. Agree with pp, we have the soothie in multiple colors and ages, the color is a preference not an indicator of age appropriate sizing. For what it's worth, my LO will only take the 0-3 size despite being 17 weeks, so try both to see what works if your baby is older.

Not true for everyone my son got two from the hospital with no notch. it's exactly the same ones we bought him at target & color doesn't mean size we have green ones in the firmer one. Check the labels before purchasing
