No PT Support?

Since we are currently living with my mom (long story) i decided to call her and get her opinion about the 3 day potty training idea of ridding of diapers and using big boy underwear. she then told me that she thinks its too early, and that he wouldnt understand the "big boy" praise.

then she said he would get confused because she refused to take him in public with big boy underwear and would throw a diaper on him, pretty much ruining all the work we have done.

im so frustrated right now.

What should i do? Should i follow the potty training instructions, or just try pull ups for a while and keep my mom happy??
