Paint ?

Does it really matter what kind of paint we use if I won't be painting the room? DH and his mom will be painting. I will just tell them what I want and then leave, trusting that DH listens to what I tell him because his mom doesn't do that very well. I know as long as it's not lead based or anything.

    I would use a paint that has zero or at least low VOC's. Sherwin Williams and Olympic (from Lowes) are some good examples of paint that meet that criteria. Not sure about the pricing for Sherwin but the Olympic paint ranges from $17-$28 a gallong depending on the type (flat, satin, glossy..etc).

    I would also suggest using at least low VOCs since you will still be in the house and want to be safe.  I know chances are slim of doing any damage if you're not in close contact, but maybe just to be safe : )
