At our childbirth class last night, we were practicing methods for alleviating some of physical pain of pregnancy and labor.
DH was really surprised at the way my belly was just sort of hanging out all solid and yet heavy over where my stomach usually is. I don't know where he thought things were, or what he thought they were doing, but he even commented this evening after dinner that he'd been thinking about it, and that he thought he could understand better what I meant when I said things were stretching and heavy and hurting all in my front.
And I was like "oh yay, he kind of gets it!"
And then he followed it up with "I'm kind of tired, do you mind if I sit on the couch and relax instead of helping you unpack?"
So close.
Yet so far.
Re: Comment fail, DH
"I'm kind of tired, do you mind if I sit on the couch and relax instead of helping you unpack?"
So not something you say to your pregnant wife I hope you reminded him that you are making a human and if anything you should be the one sitting on the couch.
((hugs))
that was not cool. i would have told my DH the quicker he helps unpack the faster we BOTH get to relax. wouldn't fly in our home.
* he owes you a back and foot rub for sure.
