Sharp, shooting pains in my ute

Last night I had some very painful, shooting pains in my uterus.  I have no idea what they were, but they scared the crap out of me.  Has anyone else experienced anything like this?  Should I call my OB, or am I just freaking out for nothing?

    if they went away quickly they could be round ligament pain...because that is exactly what it feels like.  sometimes I get a cluster of them and Ill get a few of them at a time.  IT happens a lot when you get up quickly, roll over in bed, etc.  If your continuing to have a lot of pain of course call your dr....but most likely it is just your uterus starting to stretch :)  btw I don't think your freaking out for nothing...this is my second pregnancy and whenever I get them they still freak me out.  If you are really concerned call your dr. :)

    I have had slight cramps.. but no shooting pain.. It is probably just your uterus growing which is a good thing!  I am sure its noting serious or you would have experienced something else such as blood.... gl girly

    I've had them.  For a couple of days they were pretty frequent and sharp and mostly in one spot...but I happened to have an appointment with my midwife while I was having them, and she said it's totally normal.  If it's something that's really bothering you or making you feel like you can't function normally, then I would call for sure.

    I have really, really bad RLP's, so bad sometimes they make me tear up. Could that be what you were having last night?
