DH Bday Gift FAIL!

DH saw a Fossil watch that he loved online about 3 months ago.  Well, for his bday, I decided to get it for him.  I live in a smaller town in rural Iowa, so I would have had to drive 45 minutes to buy it.  I do most of my shopping online.  It is just so much easier with DS.  I ordered it through Amazon.  DH opened it last night and LOVED it....until we realized it was a fake Crying

It came in the wrong tin, did not have the booklet with it and the face looked slightly different than the picture on line.  We emailed the company, but our email was returned because the email address we used didn't exist.  We tried calling them, but the phone just rang and rang.  We filed a complaint with Amazon, but I'm still sad that we got ripped off!!!  We are going to go buy DH a real one today because he does love it!  It's just to bad that there are people out there who make a living off of scamming people.

    Did you pay with a credit card? Sometimes if you call your credit card company they can help you out with fraud like that.

    Unfortunately, I paid with my debit card. Sad

    check out the return address on the package and go kick some @ss. or call the bank and tell them the situation

    Its still underwritten by Visa or some other credit card company? I would think you should still be able to dispute it?

     Also, if you bought it through Amazon.com, I can only imagine that you should have no issue getting a refund. There is a reason they have been so successful.
