Hey May Moms! What do you think about the flu shot?

Hey guys! So glad I have people to talk to throughout this process. Its so stressful during the first trimester - just hoping and praying things will continue go well!! But anyways - what do you guys think about the flu shot? I see that its the swine flu and flu put together this year but do you plan on getting it?

    Yes! I for sure am getting that shot. If I can't put much of anything in my body besides Tylenol then I for sure don't want to have to deal with the flu this winter.

    I'm definitely getting it (even though I had swine flu last year well before the  H1N1 vaccine came out).

    I am also definitely getting it. As an expectant mom, I can't risk getting either H1N1 or the common flu.

    I think it's a great idea to get it but I am personally waiting until the 1st trimester is over (so end of November). I just don't feel comfortable getting it while the baby is developing in this critical peiod.

    I'm on the fence. I have never had a flu shot and hardly ever get sick but now there's someone else to think about. hmmm that's a tough one.

    I don't know how all doctors do it, but my OB always made me wait until 20 weeks to get the flu shot. I would check before randomly going to get one.

    Yes I will. I am a teacher and I am exposed to everything!!

    With that said, I didn't get it last time. I was freakishly healthy when pregnant with DD and never had even so much as a sniffle!

    I get sick maybe once a year, and I've never had a flu shot in my life.

    So I don't plan on getting one.

    Got mine 2 days ago at work.  I work with kids all day so I'm not going to risk anything.  Nice that both strains are included in the flushot this year...just one poke..sore for about a day but better now.

    Heck yeah. Every year and every pregnancy. I'm a physician and work with very sick flu patients on a daily basis. I'm constantly exposed the the virus and very aware of how bad the flu can be in otherwise healthy people. Sign me up!
