Students?

I currently in school, and not just a small college, but a big university, and I feel soooo out of place! Every course I have I'm the oldest, and I have been for a while, but this semester feels even more strange because I'm pregnant! Ugh! I should've gone when I was A LOT younger!

Anybody body else a student going through this?

Re: Students?

  • Yeah, but luckily I am one of the youngest in my degree.  It's for my Master's in Community Counseling.  What are you going for?

  • Nursing is definitely the "thing" right now. In MI MANY students are older bc so many people are trying nursing as a second career after losing their full time career jobs with the economy tanking. I hope you find that you are not the only older person.

I also hope you are going into it bc you want to be a nurse. GOOD LUCK I cannot imagine nursing school while PG. It was brutal. lol!

I absolutely want to be a nurse! It was my plan fresh out of high school, then things happened, my son happened...Finally started back last year!

  • I'm not in school but my husband is.  We have an almost 3 yr old and now we are expecting baby #2.  He was terrified when I told him because he thought he might have to quit school just to get another job.  Well he decided to stay in, thank goodness.  But he works 35 to 40 hours a week and has a full course load.  He's working so hard just to make our lives better.

I guess just take it one day at a time.  We are all here for you :)

  • I work FT and go to school PT (actually it's basically 3/4 time but that's not the point). I'm at a 4 year school finally pursuing my BA, and originally I was going to keep going when the baby was born. Now with twins I think I'm going to have to take a semester or two off. I'm bummed because I've been doing well, but no way in hell I'm going to keep working, raise 2 newborns and try to manage 9 credits. I'm going to try and go back when they're about 10 months.
